Terms of Use

1. About the service

TrustCosta is an independent platform for reviews of property developers, developments, estate agencies and agents in Spain. We do not broker property and are not a party to agreements between users and reviewed businesses.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for protecting your login details and activity on your account.
• You may not use an account to mislead, impersonate another person or bypass a suspension.

3. Review rules

Reviews must reflect a genuine first-hand experience and be factual, relevant and as accurate as possible.

• Do not publish false claims, threats, hate, harassment, advertising or spam.
• Do not publish identity numbers, banking details, private contact details or other sensitive personal data.
• Businesses and their representatives may not review themselves or competitors, pay for reviews or improperly influence reviews.
• You are responsible for submitted content and must have the right to share it.

4. Moderation and verification

We may review, reject, hide or remove content that breaches these terms, the law or our review rules. We may request evidence to verify a purchase experience and label content as verified, suspicious or disputed. Verification does not guarantee that every statement in a review is accurate.

5. Licence to use content

You retain ownership of your content. By publishing, you grant TrustCosta a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, moderate, format and translate it to operate and promote the service. The licence ends when content is removed, except for backups and legal retention requirements.

6. Automated features

TrustCosta may use automated tools for translation, summaries and fraud or spam detection. Results can contain errors. The original review remains the primary source, and enforcement decisions may be reviewed manually.

7. Intellectual property

TrustCosta's name, design, software and editorial material belong to TrustCosta or its licensors. You may use the service privately under these terms, but may not copy, scrape, sell or build a competing content database without permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Reviews express users' opinions. TrustCosta does not guarantee that content is complete, current or error-free. The service is not a substitute for legal, financial or construction advice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss or decisions based solely on the content. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict or close an account for breaches, security risks or legal requirements. After deletion, published reviews may be retained in anonymised form where there is a legitimate interest in preserving the platform's integrity.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will publish a new date on this page. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. Spanish law applies, without limiting mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence. Disputes are heard by a competent court under applicable law.
